#1. Overdoing it on the protein.

We all need protein, and it is certainly important for building muscle. However, you shouldn’t overdo it on the protein. When you consume too much of it, your body stores it as fat. Plus, most of those protein bars and shakes tend to be full of sugar and fat that can undermine your weight loss efforts.

#2. Not planning your meals ahead of time.

If you don’t plan out your meals, you are much more likely to end up in the drive-thru. Pick a day to plan out your meals, go grocery shopping and prepare your meals for the week. This will ensure that you always have something healthy and delicious handy.

#3. Rewarding yourself with food.

After you sweat it out at the gym, you want to reward yourself for your effort. While it’s great to reward yourself for your hard work, four slices of pizza and a large soda shouldn’t be your reward. Instead of binging on junk to reward yourself, go to a movie you’ve been wanting to see or get a massage!
